We caught up with Dac to hear all about Halloween Island—here’s her story!
What was your main inspiration for the Halloween Build?
The main inspiration for Halloween Island was Tim Burton movies. I took a lot, mostly from Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride to build the Island. I didn't want it to be just a generic spooky Island, I wanted people to be able to see the quirkiness coming through and their favourite characters skins on npc's.
What is your favorite part of the Island and of the update at spawn?
My favorite part of the island is the village. It's meant to be a different take on halloween town from Nightmare Before Christmas, with the town hall in the middle. My favourite part of spawn was the jukebox underneath. If you stood at spawn long enough, you'd hear it play the music disc Creator (Music Box).
What took the longest to build on the Island?
The Escape Room underneath the mausoleum took the longest. It was made by a player named Do_No_Harmie and he worked on it for days. There is so much intricate details and it's so beautiful. Valbubb1e also worked on the escape room aspect of it. Together, they made such a cool build.
What is your favorite thing about Halloween?
I love being able to dress up as something or someone else and just to celebrate fall. I'm a massive fan of horror movies and spooky stuff so Halloween is my time to shine!
